SAPRO\u2019s mission is to provide unparalleled warfighter support, advocacy, and recovery assistance \u2013 anytime, anywhere.<\/b><\/p><p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">D-SAACP recognizes the critical support Sexual Assault Response Coordinators (SARCs) and Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Victim Advocates (SAPR VAs) provide to victims of sexual assault. SARCs, PMs, and VAs certified through D-SAACP join a growing field of certified civilian victim advocates who are trained and committed to upholding the highest standards of victim care and Continuing education should be spread out over your two years of certification and go beyond the basics. For continuing education resources, please review the <a href=\"https:\/\/trynova.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/20250731-D-SAACP-Additional-CEUs-Resources-1.pdf\"><b>D-SAACP Additional CEUs Resources.<\/b><\/a><\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Formal guidance for Continuing Education can be found on the <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sapr.mil\/d-saacp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">SAPRO website.<\/span><\/a><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">32 hours of continuing education (CEUs) are required for renewal.<\/span><\/p><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The preferred method of CEU documentation is a signed page 14 of the DD Form 2950-1 or a signed DSAID printout. This is the only way to document in cases where certificates are not available.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If training certificates are provided, they must clearly state your name, training date, number of hours, and include a physical or verified digital signature. If the certificate is missing any of these requirements, please use page 14 or DSAID.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A minimum of <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2 hours of victim advocacy ethics<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> must be documented (general professional ethics nor HIPAA training do not meet the victim advocacy ethics requirement).<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.safehelpline.org\/101\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Safe Helpline 101 or 102 <\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">is required for all renewals(can be online or in-person).<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">8 hours of \u201cin-person\u201d training<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. DoW SAPRO requires that 8 hours are \u201cin-person\u201d (the \u201cin-person\u201d training requirements may be met by attending live webinars but not by watching recordings).<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you are a renewing applicant, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">you cannot repeat the same CEUs<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> you completed for your prior renewal(s). If you take a training that has been updated, please be sure this is indicated in the documentation.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You are not limited to sexual assault advocacy training \u2013 advocates should seek training in emerging issues in victim-focused, trauma-informed care relevant to your particular environment. However, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">no more than 12 hours can be from peripheral topics (such as suicide prevention).
