NOVA’s Campus Advocacy Training (NCAT) is an advanced academy that strengthens knowledge and skills to prevent and respond to domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking (DVSAS) in higher education.

NCAT uses a blended-learning approach combining live virtual sessions with self-paced assignments to encourage engagement, practical application, and peer discussion.

The academy serves campus-based advocates, community advocates, and law enforcement professionals working with college and university communities. Topics include ethics and boundaries; confidentiality, privacy, and privilege; language justice; federal laws; restorative justice; medical forensic examinations; and other emerging issues affecting campus advocacy and response.

NCAT is facilitated by national campus experts who bring extensive knowledge and real-world experience to each session. Participants may apply the continuing education units (CEUs) earned through the academy toward their National Advocate Credentialing Program (NACP) renewal requirements.
